Love Thy Community III: Impact Lead Edition: Miami

Our Love the Community series continues to shine a light on team members who go above and beyond to make a difference. The Miami Beach and Miami Design District teams are inspired by Impact Leads, Kristy Hirschfeld and Devin Acosta.

Thanks to Kristy and Devin’s leadership and dedication, Kinnect has been able to partner with a variety of local organizations to host back-to-school drives, beach and park cleanups, volunteer at nonprofit events, and much more. Their commitment to strengthening the communities where we live and work truly embodies the spirit of Love the Community.

“I chose to become an Impact Lead because I was genuinely inspired by the incredible initiative we've taken as a company to give back to our communities. Witnessing firsthand the difference we can make even in just a few hours reminds me how powerful our collective efforts can be.”

Kristy Hirshfield, General Manager, Miami Beach

“Giving back to my community is a personal mission, which is why the opportunity to become an Impact Lead felt like the perfect fit. Miami has been my home for over 15 years, and I take immense pride in supporting the city that has shaped me. Being able to lead efforts that create real, tangible change in a place I love is both an honor and a responsibility I hold close to my heart.”

Devin Acosta, Assistant General Manager, Miami Design District

“One of my favorite organizations is VolunteerCleanup.org. I live in South Beach and spend a lot of time on the beach, so I really enjoy taking part in their Kinnect cleanups. It feels good to give back to the environment I love.”

Kristy Hirshfield, General Manager, Miami Beach

The Miami employees volunteered with The Little Lighthouse Foundation and Chapman Partnership, where they spent time teaching children about hydroponics, a sustainable, soil-free method of growing plants. Through interactive lessons and demonstrations, they helped spark curiosity and inspire young minds to think differently about food systems, science, and the environment.

There’s truly no better feeling than being part of something that creates meaningful change and reflects the values we stand for. Volunteers from the Kith Miami stores came together for a beach cleanup. Together, they collected bags of debris, shared stories, and made a tangible impact on the Miami shoreline.
